Chelsea Dupre is an accomplished vocalist who loves sharing her knowledge, love and passion for music to others.
In her early years she was surrounded by music because of her family, namely her father and maternal grandmother. She picked up drumming as soon as she could flail her arms as a toddler.
Through her grade school years she's picked up voice, guitar and piano, practicing them during whatever free time she had during band/choir rehearsals and other extra activities.
She developed sight-reading and sight-singing skills and was able to read both treble and bass clefs by the age of ten.
Her tenure at Nicholls State University only made her fall more in love with music and teaching. She's worked under Kenneth Klaus and Valerie Francis in the Vocal Music Performance Department through the various performances, workshops, master classes and music theory classes. Music became a lifestyle. She expanded her love of music even further by joining the Theta Theta Chapter of Sigma Alpha lota International Music Fraternity. It's an organization that promotes the interaction of those who share a love and commitment to music. She continues the philanthropy of sharing music and spreading the love of it to her community the best ways she knows how.
